MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE OF PENRYN HELD ON MONDAY 21 JUNE 2021 AT 7:00PM IN THE TEMPERANCE HALL (TEETOTAL HALL), LOWER MARKET STREET, PENRYN

Apologies for absence were received from Councillor Tucker.

14. Public Participation
No requests had been received from members of the public wishing to speak at the meeting.
15. Planning Minutes
RESOLVED that minute numbers 1 to 11 of the Planning Committee held on 27 May 2021 were approved and signed as a correct record.
Proposed by Councillor May and seconded by Councillor Widdon.
16. Climate Emergency Minutes
The outstanding action from minute number 17 (Woodland Burial Discussion) was raised at the meeting and this will be carried forward for further discussion.
RESOLVED that minute numbers 12 to 17 of the Climate Emergency Working Group held on the 22 March 2021 were approved and signed as a correct record.

17. Correspondence
Correspondence had been received from Cornwall Council in regard to notices for the Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Orders. The meeting noted the following road closures:
- Hillhead Roundabout for resurfacing works from Monday 21 June to Thursday 24 June (7.00pm to 5.00am)
- Between Four Cross and Lower Treluswell, Lower Treluswell, Browns Hill, The Praze, Church Road, Commercial Road and Falmouth Road – entire length of B3292 to carry out gully emptying (7.00pm to 6.00am).

RESOLVED that the Town Council has NO OBJECTIONS to the application. However, the Town Council would appreciate it if there could be some safe improvements made to the opeway beside the premises as at present it is very dangerous and not user friendly.

PA21/04903 – 6, The Park, Penryn
Proposed new dwelling.
RESOLVED that the Town Council has NO OBJECTIONS to the application. However, the Town Council would like the previous issues (PA20/01082) – access to the property – to be resolved to the satisfaction of the Highways Officer. Also, the concerns of the neighbour, in regard to the location of the septic tank, must be taken into consideration and resolved.

PA21/05412 – Tranquility Road from Junction at Bella Vista Farm to The Lodge, Enys, Penryn
Listed building consent for rebuilding and repointing of a Grade II Listed wall.
RESOLVED that the Town Council FULLY SUPPORTS the application.
