Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Bennett, Grant, Hanks, Kirby and Wenmoth.

The Architects failed to show.

It was RESOLVED that minute numbers 71 to 80 of the Planning Committee held on 19 December 2022 be approved.

87. Updates on Planning Applications from Cornwall Council Members (Information Only)

Councillor Widdon reported:

  • PA22/08749 – Land West of 13 College Green, College Green, Penryn – application for tree works within a TPO – three Sycamore trees heavily leaning towards property in College Green.

The Town Council had previously objected to the application due to no report available from the Tree Officer and the works to be carried out were unspecified.  Councillor Widdon has now received more information from Network Rail and the Tree Officer and the tree will not be removed but will be reduced in size.

  • Councillor Widdon has been working with Cornwall Council to assist residents in getting their homes insulated. Also, residents can get help with their heating bills if they register as a vulnerable customer with their energy provider.

It was RESOLVED that the Town Council fully supports the planning application.
Proposed by Councillor May and seconded by Councillor Williams.

It was RESOLVED that the Town Council has no objections to the application subject to a satisfactory report from the Conservation Officer.
Proposed by Councillor May and seconded by Councillor Doyle.

PA22/11479 – 17 Trelowen Drive, Penryn
It was RESOLVED that the Town Council fully supports the application.
Proposed by Councillor Widdon and seconded by Councillor Milan.
